I do love a good witch story! When it comes to wicca, witchcraft, magic I am very easy to please. I think it's got a fantastic cover and really looking forward to this one!

"A Great and Terrible Beauty meets Cassandra Clare in this spellbinding fantasy" What? What does that mean? What does Cassandra have to do with this book? That is the strangest and most random line ever. It's like someone is following around Clare and narrating it as the book is handed to her lol.
ReplyDeleteI really hope this book doesn't refer to the witchcraft as Wicca, cuz that truly peeves me. If it was actually Wicca, that would be fine. But most of the time, it's not. It's like on Buffy. They kept calling Willow a Wiccan, but nothing she did was ever Wiccan. Or on Charmed, same crap, called themselves Wiccan but never did anything remotely Wiccan related. Wicca is a religion and if they aren't going to portray that religion properly in their book, than don't use it. Make up a name for crying out loud. Sorry. That was a rant. It just spilled out :)
